LED lighting "terrorist suit" to protect the night driving

One of the main reasons why many people are unwilling to ride a bicycle is road safety, especially in the evening and evening. If the driver does not see clearly, the cyclist is easily hit by the car. There are now some designer bicycle lights that can serve as a warning, but these lighting or reflective products are easily confused with other roadblock lighting. Graduates of the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in the United Kingdom have designed a vest with LED lights that can be kept flashing when the car is approaching, making it easier for car drivers to see.

This clothing with a safety alert is called "Diematic Clothing" and is inspired by the intimidation of certain animals' self-protection: when frightened, certain parts of the body will show scary patterns or colors. Thus the predator is scared away, the designer compares the cyclist to a dangerous prey and the driver as a predator. This dress is made of ultra-clear waterproof fabric with a built-in proximity sensor on the back to control the LED light. If the car is too close to the rider, the threatening suit will flash intermittently, and the closer it gets, the faster it will flash.

The designer said that the purpose of this product is not only to develop a clothes that can respond, but also to change the visual language of the Jersey. The current cycling suit is too much like a road sign and can easily be seen as an obstacle by the driver.
