The Xilinx Zynq-7000 series is a SoC family based on the ARM Cortex-A9 core processor and FPGA structure. Since its launch in 2012, we have seen development boards based on entry-level Zynq-7010 or Zynq-7020 SoCs.
Digilent PYNQ-Z1 is another Xilinx-based development board of the company, but it does not distinguish itself by its hardware characteristics. On the contrary, the software part is the most interesting. The original intention of the development board is to be used with PYNQ. PYNQ is a new open source framework that allows embedded development engineers to use the functions of Xilinx's SoC without the need to design programmable logic circuits, instead of relying on Python programming.
