According to VR Network, Beihang plans to build artificial intelligence research center, cyberspace security research center, virtual reality, augmented reality research center, integrated traffic big data research center, microelectronics and information materials research center, Quantum in Hangzhou Hi-tech Zone (Binjiang). 6 institutes (centers) such as the Precision Measurement and Sensing Research Center.
In addition, Beihang will integrate education, teaching, scientific innovation, and cooperation between industry, university and research institutes in the relevant fields of the school. It will deploy quantum information, artificial intelligence, cyberspace security, microelectronics and information materials, instrument optoelectronics, computers, and software in the Hangzhou High-tech Zone (Binjiang). The Hangzhou Graduate School, which is mainly focused on new engineering subjects, will achieve 2,500 students in Hangzhou in the future.
To this end, Hangzhou Hi-tech Zone (Binjiang) provided development space, policy support and quality services for the installation of Beihang Hangzhou Innovation Research Institute. A good industrial atmosphere will also provide support for the transformation of Beihang’s achievements. Relevant person in charge of Binjiang District stated that Binjiang will provide a full range of accurate services and guarantees for Beihang's scientific research, personnel training, and achievement transformation in Hangzhou, and support the construction of the Beihang Hangzhou Innovation Research Institute into an international top scientific research institution and support for Beihang Hangzhou graduate students. The construction of the institute has become an important pole for the Beihang International Talent Cultivation Base and the two-class universities.
