Comparison of technical parameters of new light source street lamps

According to the "City Road Lighting Design Standards" CJJ45-2006, high-pressure sodium lamps, metal halide lamps, compact or thin-tube fluorescent lamps can be used as the light source for road lighting. As a new light source of this century, LED has begun to be applied on the road. What are the technical parameters of new light source street lamps and traditional street lamps worth promoting and improving?

First, the purpose of urban road lighting

Create a good visual environment for drivers and pedestrians of various vehicles to achieve the purpose of ensuring traffic safety, improving transportation efficiency, facilitating people's lives, reducing crime rates and beautifying the urban environment.

Second, the characteristics of the light source for road lighting comparison

It should be used for road lighting and light sources with good lighting effects and economical energy saving requirements. The main characteristics of the light source for road lighting are compared, as shown in Table 1.

Third, the choice of light source

According to the "Urban Road Lighting Design Standards" and the application of new LED light sources, the author believes that the light source of street lamps should be selected as follows:

(1) High-speed sodium lamps or LED lamps shall be used for expressways, trunk roads, secondary trunk roads and branch roads;

(2) Mixed traffic roads for motor vehicles and pedestrians in residential areas using high-pressure sodium lamps, low-power metal halide lamps or LED lamps;

(3) Metal halide lamps or LED lamps can be used for motor vehicle traffic roads with high color recognition requirements in the city center and commercial centers;

(4) Pedestrian street in commercial area, pedestrian road in residential area, sidewalk on both sides of motor vehicle traffic road can use small power metal halide lamp, thin tube diameter fluorescent lamp, compact disaster light or LED lamp.

Fourth, the basic requirements of street lamps

The basic requirements of lighting fixtures should be safe, practical, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly. If it is economical, reliable, beautiful, and easy to install and maintain, it is the perfect fixture. As far as the street lamp is concerned, because it is used outdoors for a long time, the environmental conditions are relatively harsh, so in addition to the optical performance to meet the requirements of relevant standards and specifications, in terms of mechanical strength, dustproof, waterproof, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, electrical safety performance There are also high requirements in terms of electromagnetic compatibility, quality, installation, maintenance and styling.

V. Road lighting evaluation indicators

1. Motor vehicle traffic road lighting should be based on the average brightness of the road surface (or average illuminance of the road surface), total uniformity of road surface brightness and uniformity of longitudinal direction (or uniformity of road surface illumination), glare limitation, environmental ratio and inductivity.

2. Pedestrian road lighting should be based on the average illuminance of the road surface, the minimum illuminance of the road surface and the vertical illuminance as the evaluation indicators.

Sixth, road lighting design principles

It is necessary to obtain good lighting effects, but also to reflect the principles of safety, reliability, advanced technology, economical rationality, energy saving and environmental protection, and convenient maintenance.

Seven, road lighting design rules

1. The design of road lighting must meet the requirements of current relevant standards in terms of road surface brightness (or illuminance) level, brightness (or illuminance) uniformity, glare limitation, etc. Lighting facilities should also have good inductivity.
