Small body, great function, this "hermit" is not simple - Nergen's new generation of multi-function wireless charger evaluation

With the increasing number of digital devices, each person must charge multiple products at the same time, and even charge the wireless devices. Therefore, the desk is often littered with a large number of various charging lines, disorganized. In addition, many notebooks and other devices are now becoming thinner in order to save the volume and only one USB port is set. This results in insufficient interfaces, and users have to connect one HUB. .

Recently got a product, I feel very practical, this product is called the "Nerkin new generation of multi-function wireless charger", the main idea is 1+1+1 = 1, that is, the USB charging, wireless charging With the HUB function integrated in a device, it greatly saves the user's desktop space, and today I bring you the experience of this product.

The new generation of multi-function wireless charger for the Nilkin codenamed "Hermit", the box is a cube, not small, white design, but I received this by violent express to hit a corner, some regret. On the back of the box, there is a brief description of the product and features.

In front of the package, there is a sign of 1+1+1=1. Although a large amount of English is not very clear, it can be understood that it means integrating three functions into one product.

When you open the box, you can see a round product. At first glance it is thought that it is a router and the like. In the middle is the Nilkin logo. In the gray circle, it is a non-slip rubber pad. It is used to prevent it from being placed on the top. The wirelessly charged phone slipped.

In the lower level, there are also two boxes. The box has a corresponding mark on the outer package. One is the power adapter and the other is a USB double male data cable.

There is also a manual and two cards in the package. This is the family portrait.

The hermit uses an independent power supply input, and the power adapter adopts a relatively old-fashioned "big head" charger with a concentric interface and an output of 5V5A, which is slightly bulky.

The data line adopts the standard USB 3.0 data line, which effectively improves the speed of data transmission.

Hermit's host is a round box with some thickness, surrounded by some "small doors" that can be opened, and each "small door" has an interface.

The hermit's bottom is a larger circular pad, which is also used for anti-slip.

Around the hermit, there are a total of six “little doors”, four of which are blue USB 3.0 ports, one is a red data input/output interface, and the other is a circular power input interface. The "small door" on the red interface and the power interface is marked with a graphic and can be easily identified.

On one side of the hermit, there is also a white indicator light. When the white light is on, the hermit has been powered up and can be charged.

Let's take a look at hermit's wireless charging function first. Along with hermits, there is also a small flat box, which is actually a charging coil patch, which is convenient for some mobile phones without wireless charging function. Divided into different interfaces, I use this is the micro usb interface.

There is a small piece of 3M glue behind the patch. The patch can be directly attached to the back of the phone. Although it does not look good, the phone has a wireless charging function.

Then place the phone directly on the top of the hermit, you can charge wirelessly. After actual testing, the wireless charging speed is a bit slower than that of line charging, but the difference is not that much. This is very surprising. Originally, I thought that the conversion rate of wireless charging would be very low, and it would be very good to achieve this effect. .

Not only a mobile phone, but also a device with a wireless charging function, it can be directly used for charging, which is very convenient.

When the wireless charging function starts, the white light next to it turns blue, which is still very intuitive.

Look at the charging function of the HUB. Hermit's four USB ports can be charged, after testing, the output power is still relatively stable, the voltage can reach more than 5V, the amount of current is automatically adjusted according to the charging device, the maximum can reach 2A or more output. In other words, in addition to wireless charging, you can also charge 4 mobile phones or other digital devices at the same time.

And these USB plugs can not only be used for charging, but also can be connected to computers for data transmission. Through the red interface, use the USB cable to connect the hermit with the computer's USB3.0 interface, you can directly read the U disk. However, I tested it and found that my Transcend SSD mobile hard disk could not be identified by hermits. I don't know why.

In the transmission of the file, through the U disk connected to the hermit for data transmission, can reach 5.5M per second, to tell the truth this speed is not fast, to know that my U disk is USB3.0 interface, but compared with the traditional U disk has been counted It's fast.

By the way, compared to the wireless charger I used before, it was VH "and". It only had a wireless charging function, so there was no independent power supply like the hermit, but only a USB port.

The appearance of VH is even thinner, but because it is pure iron, it is not too light. No matter if it is from the charger or from the patch, it looks like no hermit looks beautiful. In the charging test, the VH only passes the USB port. Power supply, so the charge is very slow, far less than the hermit.

After a period of experience, I summed up the advantages and disadvantages of hermits as follows:

advantage

1, beautiful appearance, easy to use;

2, powerful, can replace multiple devices;

3, wireless charging speed is still very fast

Shortcomings

1, plastic material, looks a bit too strong;

2, the power adapter is too large;

3, data transmission speed is slightly slower.

The hermit is small, but a product can replace the wireless charger, UHB and USB charger on my desktop. It is simply a desktop space saving tool. With such a small figure, there are so many features. This simple little thing is indeed worth having.
