MJJou pointed out that the shortage of upstream material supply in the third quarter was the most headache for them. However, due to the seasonal sales impact and the new capacity of material suppliers, the supply shortage will begin to ease in November and December.
He also believes that as downstream LED TV customers adjust their inventory and shift to new models, the fourth quarter will be very difficult for companies with LED backlight products.
LED lighting products currently account for 20% of total revenue of Epistar, but MJJou believes that they still have a lot of room to rise in this area.
