Apple recently applied for two new patents that will allow monitoring of the surrounding environment through a set of mobile AR systems and display information to users in real time in a VR environment.
These two patent applications were originally submitted by the German AR specialist Metaio. Metaio acquired Apple in 2015. In November last year, the US Patent and Trademark Office transferred the application to Apple.
Apple said in the patent document that the head-up camera, screen, and user interface are integrated. But at the same time, Apple also said that the system is also suitable for future smart phones, because it is very energy-efficient and can be used to monitor the surrounding environment.
The second patent is to superimpose virtual information in a specific environment in a special way, that is, it can display information to users in real time in VR.
