**Foreword:**
Before I even got my hands on this small yellow car, the wired headset in the attendance zone was torn apart and left in a mess. Then there was no way to push the headset onto the phone manually. I happened to receive the FIIL Driifter from someone else, and I wanted to give it a try. I found out that in the first few days, I had a quick friend who handed it out. If I don’t finish this article now, I might get buried under a pile of test reports...

I had a BeatsX before, but it was a bit uncomfortable and got lost several times. After receiving the FIIL Driifter, I felt like I was getting something similar to BeatsX back, but in a more refined way. It looked a little too much, maybe?
The product is now available on Jingdong for 499 yuan.

**Unboxing**

The front of the box highlights key features: 11 hours of battery life, smart magnetic attraction, and a flexible neck-winding design. These will be discussed later.

The back of the box includes instructions and product specs, including how to use the magnetic parts and the functions of short press, double press, medium press, and long press (though the exact difference between them isn't clearly explained).

Inside the box, everything is very simple: the main unit, replacement ear tips, and a charging cable are all placed on a plastic sheet. The replacement ear tips are quite small. These three pairs might be the best fit for me. The smallest one is almost as wide as the Lightning connector. I couldn’t really manage it well.

This "real person" (or beast) looks like a Sennheiser bear.
**Details Section**

The high-end version of FIIL Driifter costs 999 yuan and comes with a Cognac-colored unit. This one is just a standard moving coil driver.

You can see a microphone position at the front and back of the ear tip. The other two versions have noise cancellation, and they probably share the same driver.

There are some codes printed on the left part. The information is a bit unclear. I’m not sure if it’s a printing issue or just wear from using it less than 10 times.

The control panel is on the right side, with the function key, volume down, volume up, and charging port. It's not very delicate, but it doesn’t affect the overall usability.

The outer wire has a skin-friendly texture and feels good when worn. It's also very soft and can bend into many shapes.

The magnetic part uses a Hall sensor, which detects changes in the magnetic field to trigger actions like pausing playback when you take off the headphones. However, it doesn’t automatically resume when you put them back on.
*(Lego Villain: I'm not bothered. For so long, I have to go back and accompany my girlfriend.)*
**Experience & Feelings**
One of the main selling points of this wireless headset is its long battery life. In real use, at maximum volume, it can last over 8 hours. At normal volume (50-60%), it should reach around 11 hours. That's pretty good for a wireless headset. However, the 11-hour claim is for the 499 yuan version. The other two models may have shorter battery life due to features like noise cancellation and additional sensors.
In terms of sound quality, the FIIL Driifter is decent for the price. It's not overly spicy like some wired headsets, but it's still clear and balanced. Most Bluetooth headsets have limitations in audio detail, especially when using codecs like AAC or SBC. Even with Apt-X support, there's still some loss during decoding. iOS users, in particular, are limited since iPhones only support SBC.
Regarding Bluetooth range, FIIL claims up to 30 meters. In practice, I walked 22.5 meters in a straight line and still had a good signal. The elevator shaft slightly affected the connection, but overall, the performance was solid. However, walls and obstacles cause significant signal loss.
The FIIL+ app allows for customization, but only the PRO version (999 yuan) works properly. The others just show a blank screen, which makes me think their software might not be fully optimized.
Overall, the FIIL Driifter has a great battery life and decent sound quality, though the build quality feels a bit rough. I’m curious to see how the noise-canceling and higher-end versions perform. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to try them soon.
**Finally, thanks to:**
Mr. Pock-face, his girlfriend, the big dog (bear?), and my brother for being part of this experience.
