**Foreword:**
Before I got my hands on the FIIL Driifter, I was riding in a small yellow car and accidentally tore the wired headset in the attendance zone. After that, I had no more hand-pushed headset on my phone. Fortunately, I received the FIIL Driifter from a friend. I wanted to share my first impressions of this new product, and I noticed that in the first few days, I had a quick response from a close friend. If I don’t finish this review now, I might get overwhelmed by all the other test reports out there...

I used to have a BeatsX before, but it was a bit too "spicy" for me, and I ended up losing it a couple of times. When I got the FIIL Driifter, it felt like the BeatsX was coming back to me — but in a much more refined way.
The following products are the main protagonists, and they're currently selling on Jingdong for 499 yuan.

**Unboxing Experience**

The front of the box highlights three main features: 11 hours of battery life, smart magnetic connection, and flexible neck-winding design. These will be covered in more detail later.

On the back of the box, you can find the instruction manual and product specifications. It explains how the magnetic parts work and what each button press does (short, double, medium, or long press), though the exact differences between them aren't clearly explained.

Inside the box, the setup is pretty simple: the main headset, a set of replacement ear tips, and a charging cable. The replacement ear tips are quite small. I found that the smallest pair almost matched the size of a Lightning connector, and I struggled a bit to fit them properly.

This headset looks like a Sennheiser bear — not literally, but it has that classic feel.
**Detailed Look**

The high-end version of the FIIL Driifter comes with a Cognac unit, while the standard one uses a regular dynamic driver.

You can see a microphone hole on the front of the earbud. The other two versions have noise cancellation, and all three models likely use the same driver.

There are some codes printed on the left side. The information seems a bit unclear — maybe it's a printing issue or just wear and tear after only a few uses.

The control panel is located on the right side, with the function key, volume down, volume up, and charging port arranged from left to right. The build quality isn't very refined, but it doesn't affect the overall usability.

The outer wire has a soft, skin-friendly texture, making it comfortable to wear. It's also very flexible and can bend into various shapes easily.

**Magnetic Feature**

*(Lego Villain: I'm not bothered. For so long, I have to go back and accompany my girlfriend.)*
This headset uses a Hall sensor for its magnetic feature. It detects changes in the magnetic field to trigger actions like pausing music when you take off the headphones. However, it doesn't automatically resume playback when you put them back on.
**Experience & Feelings**
One of the main selling points of the FIIL Driifter is its long battery life. In real use, I could play at maximum volume for over 8 hours. At normal volume levels (around 50-60%), it lasted about 11 hours, which is impressive for a wireless headset. However, the 11-hour rating applies specifically to the 499 yuan model. The higher-end versions may have shorter battery life due to added features like noise cancellation and an accelerometer.
In terms of sound quality, the Driifter performs well for its price point. It’s not as "spicy" as some wired headsets, but it still delivers decent audio without major issues. Most Bluetooth headsets face limitations in sound fidelity, especially with codecs like Apt-X. Even then, the difference compared to AAC isn’t huge. For iOS users, things are even worse since iPhones don’t support Apt-X and default to SBC.
The Bluetooth range is claimed to be up to 30 meters. In practice, I tested it in a straight line and reached 22.5 meters with a stable signal. Through the elevator shaft, the signal weakened a bit, but overall, it performed well. However, walls and obstacles caused significant signal loss.
The FIIL+ app allows for customization, but I found that only the PRO version (999 yuan) had full functionality. The others were just placeholders, which made me question the app’s stability.
**Overall Thoughts**
The FIIL Driifter offers a solid combination of long battery life, decent sound quality, and a sleek design. While the build quality feels a bit rough around the edges, it’s still a good value for the price. I’m curious to see how the noise-canceling and high-speed versions perform. Hopefully, I’ll get the chance to try them soon.
Finally, thanks to Mr. Pock-face, his girlfriend, their big dog (or bear?), and my brother for being part of this experience.
