LED enters the off season in advance

The LED industry said that although the new Korean LEDTV models have been shipped, the brand customers have not been as aggressive as the past in the shadow of excessive inventory, but the recent sales of the mainland's 11 long holidays have been successful. The proportion of LEDTV sales has also grown substantially. It is expected to bring good news to Taiwanese companies that have successively entered the mainland LEDTV supply chain. Li Bingjie, chairman of Jingdian, also said that the mainland’s eleventh holiday will be an important key indicator. It is expected to inject a strong shot into the peak season in Europe and America.

Due to the weak demand in the LEDTV market, the LED factories with high revenues in the first half of the year have stopped their growth momentum in the third quarter. Since August, some of the industry's revenues have seen a recession, and in September, the upstream and downstream have been simultaneously declining. However, overall, the third season is still the peak season of the LED industry, and many industry players still pay a record high in the single-season revenue.

The upstream epitaxial plant leader Jingdian also could not escape the downward pressure on September revenue. In September, the revenue was NT$1,842 million, a monthly decrease of 4.9%, an annual growth of 46.14%, and a revenue of about 5.68 billion yuan in the third quarter. The increase was about 8.3%; the largest recession in September was about 400 million yuan in revenue, which was about 20% lower than the August recession. Compared with the same month in 2009, it increased by 65.71%. The accumulated third quarter revenue was 1.436 billion yuan. Compared with the second quarter, it grew by 4.97%, and it still hit a new high in a single season.

At the same time, Ronda, which is in the LED die and package, is also the typical representative manufacturer of LEDTV panel pull-down under the supply chain of the parent company AUO Group. The revenue in September 2010 was 803 million yuan, a decrease of about 11% from August. Compared with the same period of 2009, it grew by 180.67%, of which the third quarter revenue was 2.639 billion yuan, and the quarter increased by about 10%.

Downstream packaging factory leader Everlight's September revenue of 1.402 billion yuan, compared with a decline of 14.04% in August, mainly due to the Korean customers and mainland customers LEDTV shipments have not reached expectations, estimated October and September revenues are equivalent, and the first The outlook for the fourth quarter is conservative. As for Hong Qi, it is expected to reach a new high in September, but it is also affected by customers' unsatisfactory pull. The September revenue was only 378 million yuan, which failed to extend the momentum of the new high in August.

Dongbei is a company with a high decline in downstream packaging plants. The revenue in September was about 520 million yuan, a 22% decline from the previous month, an increase of 12% year-on-year. The accumulated revenue for the third quarter was 1.89 billion yuan, compared with the previous quarter. Reduced by 7%, the annual growth rate reached 47%, becoming the second-quarter revenue, but Dongbei expects that there will be large-size TV product replenishment demand in the fourth quarter, but it will be affected by the small and medium-sized backlight products. Overall revenue was flat with the third quarter.
