Wind power equipment market will expand?

Wind energy is a kind of available energy that is provided to human beings by air flow and belongs to renewable energy. China's wind energy reserves are large and widely distributed, with only 253 million kilowatts of wind energy reserves on land. Because of its advantages of renewable energy, cleanliness, short infrastructure cycle, and flexible installation scale, wind power generation is suitable for coastal islands, grassland pastoral areas, mountain areas, and highland areas where water shortages, fuel shortages, and inaccessibility are important.

According to the “2013-2017 China Wind Power Equipment Industry Production and Sales Demand and Investment Forecast Analysis Report”, the global wind power generation capacity has doubled since 2004, and global wind power generation capacity expanded by 27% between 2006 and 2007. In 2007, there were 90,000 megawatts, and this figure was 160,000 megawatts by 2010. It is estimated that in the next 20-25 years, the world wind energy market will increase by 25% annually. With the advancement of technology and the development of environmental protection, wind power generation will be commercially competitive with coal-fired power generation.

During the "10th Five-Year Plan" period, China's grid-connected wind power has developed rapidly. In 2006, the cumulative installed capacity of wind power in China reached 2.6 million kilowatts, making it one of the major markets for wind power generation after Europe, the United States, and India. In 2007, the scale of China's wind power industry continued to grow in an explosive manner. As of the end of 2007, the cumulative installed capacity of the country was about 6 million kilowatts. In August 2008, the total installed capacity of wind power in China has reached 7 million kilowatts, accounting for 1% of the total installed capacity of China's power generation, ranking fifth in the world, which also means that China has entered the ranks of large renewable energy sources.

The prospects for the development of new energy power generation industries such as wind power in China are very broad. It is expected that the development of high-speed development will continue for a long period of time, and profitability will also steadily increase with the gradual maturity of technology. According to data from the Industry Research Group of the Foresighted Industry Research Institute, by the end of 2012, the installed capacity of grid-connected wind power in China was 62.66 million kilowatts, an increase of 14.82 million kilowatts from 2011, a growth rate of 31%, and annual wind power generation was 100.8 billion kilowatt-hours. Compared with 2011, it has grown by 41%. Wind power generation accounts for approximately 2.0% of the nation's total on-grid electricity. At the same time, according to national plans, by 2015, the total installed capacity of wind power grid-connected machines will reach 100 million kilowatts, and will be calculated at 7,000 yuan per kilowatt installed capacity. At that time, the scale of wind power equipment market will reach 700 billion yuan.
