Shanghai World Expo China Pavilion Siemens professional energy saving


Recently, Siemens and the Shanghai World Expo Coordination Bureau signed a framework contract in Shanghai to establish a win-win partnership for the China Pavilion project. Siemens will provide the China Pavilion with first-class, fully integrated energy-saving solutions, and strive to build the China Pavilion into a green landmark for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. At the same time, this cooperation has once again highlighted the solid commitment of Siemens as a global partner of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo to help the World Expo successfully. Mr. Ding Hao, Deputy Director of Shanghai World Expo Coordination Bureau, Senior Vice President of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd., and Dr. Meng Fanchen, General Manager of Siemens East China and Shanghai Branch attended the signing ceremony. Mr. Yao Jianping, General Manager of the China Pavilion Project Department of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, Mr. Xu Jianguo, Vice President of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Siemens World Expo Project Center signed the framework contract on behalf of both parties.

As one of the five permanent buildings of the Shanghai World Expo, the design of the China Pavilion not only reflects the splendid culture and wisdom of the Chinese nation, but also becomes the best architectural model for interpreting the Green Expo. Under the contract, Siemens will provide a fully integrated energy-saving solution for the China Pavilion, especially in the areas of intelligent building technology, efficient power distribution equipment and environmentally friendly lighting systems, thereby reducing the energy consumption of the China Pavilion.

For example, the China Pavilion with Siemens building automation system is expected to reduce energy consumption by 25% compared to traditional buildings of the same size, and to ensure that visitors can enjoy the same fresh air as the outdoors. The Siemens low-voltage/medium-voltage power distribution equipment installed in the museum, based on the 50% energy saving rate, also adopts new flame-retardant insulation materials to ensure that no harmful gases are generated during the power distribution process. In addition, the green energy-saving lighting products provided by Siemens Osram will not only make the Chinese pavilion at night gorgeous, but also make important contributions to energy conservation. For example, using energy-saving lamps and LED lamps produced by OSRAM, on the basis of 80% energy saving, the service life can reach 15 times and 50 times respectively.

Mr. Ding Hao, deputy director of the Shanghai World Expo Coordination Bureau, said at the signing ceremony: I am very happy to witness the cooperation between Siemens and the Expo Bureau in the China Pavilion project. It is believed that through the joint efforts of both parties, the China Pavilion will surely become the green highlight of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. I would like to take this opportunity to wish the China Pavilion project a complete success. Dr. Meng Fanchen, Senior Vice President of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. and General Manager of East China and Shanghai Branch, said: Siemens has about 30,000 patents related to environmental protection and climate solutions, and will fully support the common vision of achieving Green Expo. I feel very honored to have this opportunity to work closely with the Expo Bureau to achieve a green concept.

In 2007, Siemens officially became the global partner of innovation infrastructure and healthcare in China's 2010 Shanghai World Expo. In December 2008, OSRAM, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Siemens, was awarded the title of Global Partner of Lighting Expo 2010 Shanghai China Expo.
