This standard is equivalent to the use of IEC5 98-2-18:1993 "lamps part 2: special requirements, section 18, swimming pools and similar occasions."
Equivalent to China's standards and international standards is conducive to product technology advancement and catching up with the international advanced level, which is conducive to improving product quality and competitiveness, increasing economic efficiency, and conducive to expanding foreign trade and eliminating trade barriers.
This standard refers to GB7 000.1-1996 "General Safety Requirements and Tests for Luminaires", which is equivalent to IEC 598-1:1992, which is the safety basic standard for lamps.

IEC Preface
1) The IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) is a worldwide standardization organization composed of national electrotechnical committee committees. The IEC aims to promote international cooperation on all issues involved in standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To this end, the IEC publishes international standards in addition to other activities. The IEC commissions a technical committee to prepare the standards, and any IEC National Committee interested in the issues involved can participate. International, governmental and non-governmental organizations that have established liaison with the IEC also participate in this preparatory work. IE (Works closely with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in accordance with the conditions established by the agreement between the IEC and ISO organizations.

This part of the IEC 5 98 International Standard was developed by the 34D Lamp Subcommittee of the IEC 34th Light Bulb and Its Equipment Technical Committee, which is part of the IEC 598 series of publications. The second edition of IEC 598-2-18 replaces the first edition (1984), the first modification (1984), and the second modification (1990).
