Siemens develops 500Mbps wireless communication technology
Siemens announced this week that it has won a new record of wireless data transmission speed, which is 2.5 times higher than the current maximum speed and reached 500Mbps.
This wireless communication technology is realized by LED white light. This visible light communication transmission distance exceeds 16.4 feet, and it is also one of the brightest LEDs at present. This visible photoelectric transmission device whose transmission frequency cannot be felt by human eyes can transmit electrical pulse signals, supplementing the traditional WLAN technology. Its advantage is that it has strong anti-interference ability and can transmit at a speed of 100Mbps over a long distance. It is expected that this transmission standard will be completed in 2010.
