Win10 application store can not open? Correct posture came

While using Windows 10, you often download and install apps through the Microsoft Store. However, sometimes you might face issues where the app store fails to start or update (Figure 1). If this happens, you can troubleshoot by checking the following three areas.

1. Update Your System

Some critical updates may be missing if the Microsoft Store is not working properly. To fix this, ensure your system is updated to the latest version. Go to the Start menu, then select "Settings → Updates and Security → Windows Update," and click "Check for Updates." Install any available updates (Figure 2).

Tip: Antivirus programs like 360 Security may block automatic updates. This can prevent the Settings app from opening the update section, which affects the Microsoft Store. Make sure to disable such restrictions if they are active (Figure 3).

2. Check Network and Account Settings

The Microsoft Store relies on a stable internet connection, proper account login, and correct settings. If the app still doesn't launch after updating the system, follow these steps to check your network configuration:

First, verify that your device is connected to the internet by going to "Start → Settings → Network and Internet → Wi-Fi." Next, ensure you're signed in with your Microsoft account. Navigate to "Settings → Accounts → Email & App Accounts" and add your Microsoft account if you're not logged in. Finally, check your time and location settings under "Settings → Time and Language" to make sure the time zone is correctly set.

3. Reset the App Store Cache

If the previous steps don’t resolve the issue and the app store still won’t load, try resetting the cache. Press Win+R to open the Run dialog, type "WSReset," and press Enter (Figure 4). A black command window will appear, and the Microsoft Store should automatically restart and display its content (Figure 5). If it doesn’t start automatically, launch it manually from the Start menu.
