Toshiba’s new UFS 2.1 flash memory starts at 32GB, with options including 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. It integrates both the controller and flash chips, supporting the JEDEC standard 11.5x13mm package. In terms of speed, the new UFS 2.1 supports HS-Gear3 with a data rate of 5.8 Gbps per channel, and dual channels can reach up to 11.6 Gbps. Specifically, the 64GB version offers a read speed of 900MB/s and a write speed of 180MB/s. Random performance has seen significant improvements, with random reads increasing by 200% and random writes by 185%, nearly doubling overall performance.
