Since Sharp announced its joint venture with CLP Panda in Nanjing to build the 8.5-generation factory, the Japanese have also set up production bases in the mainland with the Korean industry. Since Taiwan’s panel makers such as Innolux and AUO have not established production bases in the mainland, the mainland is currently in the mainland. The industry pointed out that Taiwan does not have a panel factory on the mainland. In order to reduce tariff costs, Innolux and AUO must find differentiated strategies, such as new TV sizes, larger size and low-power handheld smart panels.
